This service is specifically intended for:

• Students using the Common Application system
• Students managing applications to U.S. colleges and universities
• Students organizing their high school academic records, essays, and extracurricular activities for college admissions

Scope of Service: Bus2College provides organizational tools and AI-powered assistance specifically for the U.S. college application process. The service is NOT designed for:

• International university applications outside the United States
• Graduate school applications
• Professional school applications (law, medical, business school, etc.)
• Transfer applications (though current college students may use it for transfer applications to other U.S. institutions)

By using this service, you confirm that you are a high school student or parent/guardian of a high school student applying to U.S. colleges and universities.

3. Description of Service

Bus2College is an educational web application designed to assist students with organizing their college application materials. The Service provides tools for:

• Managing student information and academic profiles
• Tracking college selections and application deadlines
• Drafting and organizing essays (Common App and supplemental)
• Managing extracurricular activities and recommender information
• AI-powered feedback and suggestions (optional feature)
• Daily activity tracking and progress monitoring

4. No Warranty - Use at Your Own Risk

4.1 Educational Tool Only

Bus2College is provided solely as an organizational and educational tool. It is NOT a professional college counseling service, admissions guarantee, or substitute for professional advice.

4.2 "AS IS" Basis

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Accuracy, reliability, or completeness of information
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation
• Freedom from viruses or other harmful components
• Success in college admissions or scholarship applications

4.3 AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Any AI-powered features, including essay feedback and suggestions:

• Are generated by third-party artificial intelligence services
• May contain errors, inaccuracies, or inappropriate suggestions
• Should be reviewed and verified by the user
• Do NOT constitute professional writing or counseling advice
• Are provided for informational and brainstorming purposes only

4.4 Reporting Problematic AI Content

If you receive AI-generated content that is:

• Inappropriate, offensive, or discriminatory
• Contains harmful, dangerous, or misleading information
• Violates academic integrity standards
• Contains factual errors or inaccuracies
• Is otherwise concerning or problematic

Please report it immediately:

• Use the "Report Issue" or feedback feature within the application (if available)
• Contact us through the application's support/help section
• Email us with details including the specific content and context
• Screenshot the problematic output if possible

We take reports of problematic AI output seriously and will investigate all concerns. However, we cannot guarantee immediate responses or specific outcomes. Users should always exercise their own judgment and seek appropriate guidance from parents, guardians, or school counselors when needed.

5. Limitation of Liability

5.1 No Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BUS2COLLEGE, ITS OWNERS, OPERATORS, DEVELOPERS, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES WHATSOEVER, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Rejection from colleges or universities
• Loss of scholarship opportunities
• Missed application deadlines
• Data loss or corruption
• Errors in application materials
• Reliance on AI-generated suggestions or feedback
• Technical failures or service interruptions
• Any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of profits, revenue, data, or use

5.2 User Responsibility

YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR:

• Verifying all information before submitting applications
• Meeting all college application deadlines
• Ensuring accuracy of all application materials
• Reviewing and editing all AI-generated content
• Maintaining backups of your work
• Complying with all college application requirements and guidelines
• Seeking professional counseling when needed

5.3 Third-Party Services

Bus2College integrates with third-party services (including but not limited to OpenAI, Google, Supabase). We are not responsible for the actions, policies, or failures of these third-party services.

6. User Responsibilities and Conduct

6.1 Account Security

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

6.2 Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Violate any laws in your jurisdiction
• Share, sell, or distribute your account access
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• Submit false, misleading, or plagiarized content
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) without permission

6.3 Academic Integrity

You acknowledge that:

• All work submitted must be your own original work
• AI-generated content must be substantially edited and personalized
• Plagiarism is prohibited and may violate college admissions policies
• You are responsible for complying with all academic integrity standards

7. Data and Privacy

7.1 Data Storage

Your data is stored using Supabase (a third-party database service). While we implement reasonable security measures, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7.2 Data Loss

We are NOT responsible for any loss of data due to:

• Technical failures or service outages
• User error or account deletion
• Unauthorized access or security breaches
• Third-party service failures

7.3 Backup Responsibility

YOU ARE STRONGLY ADVISED TO MAINTAIN YOUR OWN BACKUPS of all application materials, essays, and important information stored in Bus2College.

6.4 Data Collection

We collect and store information you provide, including:

• Account information (name, email, grade)
• Student profile and academic information
• College selections and application materials
• Essays and personal statements
• Activity lists and other application data

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you create and upload to Bus2College. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, display, and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

8.2 Service Content

The Bus2College application, including its design, features, code, and documentation, is owned by Bus2College and protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.

9. Disclaimer Regarding College Admissions

IMPORTANT: Bus2College does NOT guarantee, promise, or imply:

• Acceptance to any college or university
• Scholarship awards or financial aid
• Improved admissions chances
• Accuracy of deadline information (verify all dates independently)
• Compliance with specific college requirements

ALWAYS verify all information with official college sources. Admission requirements, deadlines, and policies change frequently.

10. Service Modifications and Termination

10.1 Right to Modify

We reserve the right to:

• Modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time
• Change these Terms of Service with or without notice
• Remove features or functionality
• Implement usage limits or restrictions

10.2 Account Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time, for any reason, without notice or liability.

10.3 No Refunds

If Bus2College becomes a paid service in the future, all fees are non-refundable unless required by law.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Bus2College, its owners, operators, developers, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use or misuse of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights
• Any content you submit or create using the Service

12. Age Restrictions

Bus2College is intended for students aged 13 and older. If you are under 18, you should review these Terms with a parent or guardian. By using the Service, you represent that you meet the age requirements.

Bus2College may contain links to third-party websites (including college websites, Common Application, etc.). We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of these external sites.

14. Governing Law and Disputes

14.1 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

13.2 Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.

14.3 Class Action Waiver

You agree to resolve disputes on an individual basis and waive any right to participate in class action lawsuits.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

16. Mobile Application Terms

16.1 App Store Compliance

If you access Bus2College through a mobile application downloaded from the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or any other app marketplace:

• These Terms apply in addition to the applicable app store's terms of service
• In case of conflict, the app store's terms take precedence regarding your relationship with that app store
• The app store provider is not responsible for the Bus2College application or its content
• Your app store account provider is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms

16.2 Mobile-Specific Features

The mobile application may access device features including:

• Camera/Photos: To upload documents or profile pictures (optional, requires permission)
• Notifications: To remind you of deadlines (optional, can be disabled in settings)
• Storage: To cache data for offline access
• Network: To sync data with our servers

You can revoke these permissions at any time through your device settings. Revoking permissions may limit functionality.

15.3 In-App Purchases (If Applicable)

If Bus2College offers premium features through in-app purchases:

• All purchases are processed by the app store, not Bus2College
• Refunds are subject to the app store's refund policy
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled 24 hours before renewal
• You can manage subscriptions in your app store account settings
• Premium features are non-transferable between accounts or devices

15.4 Mobile Data Usage

Using the mobile app may consume cellular data. You are responsible for any data charges from your mobile carrier. We recommend using WiFi when possible.

15.5 Device Requirements

The mobile app requires:

• Android: Version 8.0 (Oreo) or later
• Active internet connection for most features
• Sufficient storage space for app and cached data

15.6 Updates and Maintenance

We may release updates to the mobile app. Some updates may be required for continued use. We are not liable for any issues caused by outdated app versions.

15.7 Termination of Mobile Access

We may terminate or suspend mobile app access for:

• Violation of these Terms or app store policies
• Fraudulent or abusive behavior
• Technical or security reasons
• Discontinuation of the mobile app

17. Platform-Specific Acknowledgments

17.1 Apple App Store

If downloaded from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge:

• These Terms are between you and Bus2College, not Apple
• Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance
• Apple is not responsible for product liability claims, intellectual property infringement, or legal compliance
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries with the right to enforce these Terms
• You represent that you are not located in a country subject to U.S. embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country

17.2 Google Play Store

If downloaded from Google Play, you agree to the Google Play Terms of Service in addition to these Terms.

18. Entire Agreement

These Terms of Service constitute the entire agreement between you and Bus2College regarding the use of the Service (web and mobile), superseding any prior agreements.
